SALISBURY — Martin W. Lavin, 45, of Salisbury, passed away on Thurs­day, July 21, 2016, at Nanticoke Memo­rial Hos­pi­tal, Seaford,

Del., af­ter a sud­den ill­ness.

Born March 28, 1971 in Me­dia, Pa., he was a son of Car­men Yeater Lavin and Wil­liam “Bill” Lavin Sr. He grew up in Penn­syl­va­nia.

For most of Marty’s work­ing ca­reer, he was a ma­chin­ist at a few man­u­fac­tur­ing plants in South Carolina and Mar yland.

Marty was a very lov­ing, out­go­ing in­di­vid­ual and usu­ally the life of the party. He was the kind of per­son that what you saw was what you got. That alone made him loved by all. Fish­ing, boat­ing, and four wheel­ing with his chil­dren was his great­est en­joy­ment. All will miss his bright, happy smile and abil­ity to make you smile as well.

Sur­viv­ing him be­sides his par­ents, are chil­dren: Tyler W. Lavin, Ja­cob P. Lavin, Joshua K. Lavin, Jor­dan C.

Lavin and Ju­lia N. Lavin; Grand­mother Doris Yeater; sis­ters Vic­to­ria “Tori” Valenti and Van­ice M. Lavin; brother Richard Lavin; his spe­cial dog Heidi, and many friends.

Pre­ced­ing him in death is his brother Wil­liam “Billy” F. Lavin Jr.

A memo­rial ser­vice was held Tues­day, July 26 at New­comb and Collins Fu­neral Home, P.A., Cam­bridge.

In lieu of flow­ers, memo­rial do­na­tions can be made to a char­ity of one’s choice.
