Dorch­ester Cen­ter for the Arts hosts camp

CAM­BRIDGE — For Dorch­ester Cen­ter for the Arts, 2016 was again a cre­ative sum­mer for chil­dren at art camp. Young artists of all ages painted, sculpted, sewed, knit­ted, sang, acted, printed and more.

In ad­di­tion, se­ri­ous young artists stud­ied the clas­sics; learn­ing tech­niques of the great artists of the world, learn­ing to mix a com­plex pal­ette, and de­vel­op­ing skills in still life and nat­u­ral land­scape draw­ing.

DCA would like to thank the Mid­shore Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion, DCA Board Pres­i­dent Ali­cia Hoff­man and other donors, who helped pro­vide a to­tal of 49 scholarships with a value more than $5,000.

Com­mu­nity mem­bers, who would like to re­ceive no­tices of the pro­grams for next year, should call 410228-7782 and re­quest to be placed on the mail­ing list.
