HUR­LOCK — Mar­garet (Peggy) Adell Dyer, born March 1, 1940, in Cheyenne, Wy­oming, to For­est and Mar­garet (Billingsley) Cheshier, went to be with her Lord and Sav­ior on July 26, 2016.

She is sur­vived by four chil­dren, a son, Ron­ald Dyer

(Stacey), and three daugh­ters: Valarie Dyer Brins­field (John), Michele Dyer and Ed­die Gill­ham, Cyn­thia Dyer Gill­ham (Billy). She also has one sis­ter, Lois Buck­ley of Belin, NM, 10 grand­chil­dren and 9 great grand­chil­dren.

Peggy lived most of her life in Wy­oming, where

she grad­u­ated Hulett High school, at­tended the Uni­ver­sity of Wy­oming, and mar­ried Ru­dalph Dyer of 42 years. She be­came an ad­vo­cate for bat­tered women, was an ac­tive mem­ber of Sun­dance First Bap­tist Church and in­stru­men­tal in start­ing the church’s

food pantry. Her hob­bies in­cluded ge­neal­ogy, paint­ing, and his­tory. Af­ter mov­ing to Mary­land, she was an ac­tive mem­ber of Hur­lock First Bap­tist Church.

A life cel­e­bra­tion me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at the First Bap­tist Church of Hur­lock, MD, on Au­gust 13

at 3 p.m., fol­lowed by a fel­low­ship meal.
