CAM­BRIDGE — Allen Price Todd, 75, of Cam­bridge and Es­tero, Fla., passed away on Aug. 10, 2016, at his home with his wife by his side. Mr. Todd was born on Oct. 15, 1940, in Cam­bridge, son of the late Calvin Price Todd and Lenora Marie Creighton Todd.

Allen at­tended schools in Cam­bridge, and re­ceived a Bach­e­lors of Sci­ence in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer­ing from the Uni­ver­sity of Mary­land in 1965 and was sub­se­quently awarded a Pro­fes­sional En­gi­neer li­cense. He worked for 31 years in var­i­ous man­age­ment po­si­tions at Do­min­ion Re­sources, the power util­ity in Vir­ginia. Af­ter re­tir­ing, he then worked as the Di­rec­tor of Util­i­ties in Manas­sas, Va., for nine years, dur­ing which time he was awarded In­no­va­tor of the Year by the Amer­i­can Pub­lic Power As­so­ci­a­tion and has en­joyed his re­tire­ment while work­ing with Downes As­so­ciates as a Util­ity Con­sul­tant.

He wed­ded the for­mer Martha Lee Mered­ith, on June 13, 1964. Allen was an ac­tive mem­ber of the Pine Step­pers Square Dance Club as well as Com­mu­nity Church of Ocean Pines and Es­tero United Methodist Church. Todd, as he was known by his fam­ily and friends en­joyed sail­ing, fish­ing, play­ing golf or sim­ply walk­ing the “Boards” in Ocean City. He loved and lived his life fully. He also had an ad­ven­ture­some spirit tak­ing yearly cruises and other trav­els with his wife. He will be re­mem­bered as a gen­er­ous and car­ing man who had an abil­ity to make friends wher­ever he went and could al­ways be counted on by oth­ers for any need.

Mr. Todd is sur­vived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Mered­ith Todd, his chil­dren: Allen Todd, Jr., and wife Pe­tra, Su­san For­rest and hus­band Craig, David Todd and wife Kristin, two grand­chil­dren Ben­nett Todd and Louisa Todd, his sis­ter Donna Sineath, and ex­tended fam­ily, in laws, nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

Ser­vices will be held at Com­mu­nity Church of Ocean Pines, Ber­lin, MD in Septem­ber.
