CAMBRIDGE — Rescue Fire Company held the 37th annual Seafood Feast-I-Val on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Sailwinds Park.

Fire company member and County Council President Ricky Travers said the event was a success with about 2,000 people ser ved.

“We used 109 bushels of crabs, 120 dozens of corn, and 55 gallons of crab soup,” Travers said.

There were ten buses of outof-town folks that attended, and Travers said local ticket sales were brisk in the last few weeks.

The extreme heat caused a need for an upscaled EMS presence and misting tents, and there were a few guests treated for heat-related illnesses, but no major problems occurred, according to Travers.
