CAMBRIDGE — After five years of success, the ShoreVenture entrepreneurship training program comes to the Eastern Shore Innovation Center (ESIC) for 2016.

Offered by hotDesks, a co-working space partner with ESIC, the newly formatted 30-hour program includes even more valuable content and benefits to help entrepreneurs and startup businesses accelerate the growth of their business and achieve success. Another new feature is the selection of one participating entrepreneur receiving an award valued at $5,000 in support of their startup business.

According to an ESIC press release, ShoreVenture is the most rewarding and respected entrepreneur training program on the Eastern Shore. Often, entrepreneurs focus on the product or service that inspired their business; but, ignore the fundamentals of running a successful business, according to the ESIC.

ShoreVenture remedies that gap, providing the skills and knowledge to understand the details of your business and how to use “best practices” to run a profitable and scalable company, according to the ESIC.

Organized in a way that maximizes an entrepreneur’s limited time, the program makes use of online sessions, requiring only three face-to-face meetings over a seven-week period. In addition to what you learn, qualifying entrepreneurs benefit from the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of fellow entrepreneurs as well as mentors, coaches, and investors from throughout the Eastern Shore region and the State of Maryland.

Complete details and registration for the ShoreVenture program are available at ShoreVen Sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between Sept. 15 and Oct. 25. The course fee is $350. In the final session, participants will give oral presentations to a panel of investors in exchange for feedback and analysis of their business. One participating entrepreneur or business will be selected to receive an award valued at $5,000.

Eastern Shore Innovation Center is a regional business incubator which focuses on accelerating the growth of innovative businesses on the Eastern Shore. Through our partnership with hotDesks, ESIC co-working members have access to locations in Cambridge, Easton, Pocomoke, and Salisbury with reciprocity at other co-working spaces and incubators throughout Maryland.

hotDesks is a part of the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center, a private sector nonprofit organization that serves the needs of highgrowth, innovative, and scalable startups and businesses.
