CAM­BRIDGE — Hazel Hol­ley, 79, of Cam­bridge, MD, passed away on Fri­day, Aug. 19, 2016, at her home with her fam­ily by her side. She was born in Ross Neck on Aug. 12, 1937 and was a daugh­ter of the late John Al­izey Wil­ley and Myr­tle Blon­dell John­son Wil­ley.

Mrs. Hol­ley grad­u­ated from Cam­bridge High School class of 1955. Af­ter high school, she went to work for McCrory’s un­til she got mar­ried on April 5, 1958 to the late Charles Lind­bergh Hol­ley. Mrs. Hol­ley’s hus­band served our coun­try and they lived in dif­fer­ent ar­eas of the world; from Ge­or­gia, to Texas, to Ger­many, to Ja­pan and to Tur­key be­fore re­turn­ing to Cam­bridge in 1975.

Af­ter her hus­band’s pass­ing, Mrs. Hol­ley went back to work and was em­ployed at Air­pax un­til she re­tired. Then, she was a home care­giver un­til 1999. In May, she was able to take a trip to Texas to see her great grand­sons. Mrs. Hol­ley was an avid reader and was a mem­ber of Souls Har­bor Church of God in Cam­bridge.

She is sur­vived by two daugh­ters: Elaine Hol­ley of Cam­bridge and Kaye McCo­mas and hus­band Leroy of Cam­bridge; two granddaughters: Michelle Lynn McCo­mas from Anne Arun­drel and Stephanie McCo­mas Lamb and hus­band Greg of Texas, and their chil­dren: Char­lie and Billy; a brother, Richard Wil­ley of Cam­bridge; a sis­ter, Frances Nadilo of New Jersey; and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews. Be­sides her par­ents and her hus­band, Mrs. Hol­ley is pre­ceded in death by three sis­ters: Eve­lyn Sped­den, Ruth Bram­ble and Nor­malee Bram­ble; five broth­ers: Rus­sell Wil­ley, Ray­mond Wil­ley, Joseph Wil­ley, John­nie Wil­ley, and Elzey Wil­ley.

A funeral ser­vice will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thurs­day, Aug. 25, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., with Rev. Ed­ward King of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at the Mary­land Eastern Shore Vet­er­ans Ceme­tery. Fam­ily will re­ceive friends one hour prior to the ser­vice.
