Museum presents Harriet Tubman lecture Sept. 7
CAMBRIDGE — The South Dorchester Folk Museum will present a lecture titled “The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center: Past, Present and Future” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Robbins Heritage Center at the Dorchester County Historical Society in Cambridge.
Take a virtual tour of the recently constructed Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center, including a sneak peak at the exhibit designs, scheduled to be installed by spring 2017.
Dana Paterra and Robert Parker of Harriet Tubman Park will be the guest speakers during the event.
Paterra is a native of the Eastern Shore with experience interpreting natural and cultural resources.
Parker is a 15-year veteran of the National Park Service. He is a native of North Carolina.
