Carlton E. “Little Boy” Knauer
CAMBRIDGE — Carlton E. “Little Boy” Knauer, 81, of Bucktown passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in Bucktown on Dec. 10, 1934, and was a son of the late John August Knauer and Josephine Peters Knauer.
Mr. Knauer attended schools in Dorchester County. For a few years, he worked for Phillips Packing Company, but all of his life was farming. Mr. Knauer enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by three brothers Vernon Knauer of Reisterstown, his twin Carroll Knauer of Bucktown and Freddie Knauer of Cambridge, a special great niece
Billie Jo Warrington and cousin Michael Knauer who were also his caregiver and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Mr. Knauer is preceded in death by two brothers Lawrence Knauer and Henry Knauer.
Pallbearers will be Franklin Knauer, Fred Knauer, Michael Knauer, Mark Keene, Bill Lowe and Vernon Lowe. Honorary pallbearer will be James Insley.
A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Sept. 1, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
