Mu­seum sets Har­riet Tub­man lec­ture Sept. 7

CAM­BRIDGE — The South Dorch­ester Folk Mu­seum will present a lec­ture ti­tled “The Har­riet Tub­man Un­der­ground Rail­road Vis­i­tor Cen­ter: Past, Present and Fu­ture” at 7 p.m. Wed­nes­day, Sept. 7, at the Rob­bins Her­itage Cen­ter at the Dorch­ester County His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety in Cam­bridge.

Take a vir­tual tour of the re­cently con­structed Har­riet Tub­man Un­der­ground Rail­road Vis­i­tor Cen­ter, in­clud­ing a sneak peak at the ex­hibit de­signs, sched­uled to be 2017.

Dana Paterra and Robert Parker of Har­riet Tub­man Park will be the guest speak­ers dur­ing the event.

Paterra is a na­tive of the Eastern Shore with ex­pe­ri­ence in­ter­pret­ing nat­u­ral and cul­tural re­sources.

Parker is a 15-year vet­eran of the Na­tional Park Ser vice. He is a na­tive of North Carolina.
