DCA receives baby grand piano
CAMBRIDGE — Thanks to the generosity of the Nathan Foundation, and the efforts of Cookie Brohawn, director of the Chorus of Dorchester, the Dorchester Center for the Arts second floor of the George B. Todd Performance Hall now features a new Baby Grand piano.
The piano was purchased and delivered to the Center this past week.
“DCA is grateful to the Nathan Foundation, to Cookie and the Chorus of Dorchester for helping to make this purchase possible,” said DCA Executive Director Mickey Love. “This piano allows us to consider hosting future concerts, which require instruments of this exceptional caliber.”
The first use of the Baby Grand will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 14, when the American Spiritual Ensemble performs at the DCA.
