SAL­IS­BURY — H. Dou­glas Fox, 93, of Sal­is­bury, MD, passed away on Sun­day, Sept. 25, 2016, at Penin­sula Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Sal­is­bury. He was born in Madis­onville, Ken­tucky, on Jan. 30, 1923, and was a son of the late Geather and Char­lene Fox.

Mr. Fox grad­u­ated from Nor­tonville High School class of 1941. He also grad­u­ated in 1952 from Uni­ver­sity of Ken­tucky with a de­gree in Civil En­gi­neer­ing. On Oct. 5, 1946, he mar­ried the for­mer Jane Den­ton.

Mr. Fox ser ved in the U.S. Army dur­ing World War II. Mr. Fox worked and re­tired from Charles E. Bro­hawn af­ter 25 years of ser vice. He en­joyed sail­ing, play­ing golf, wood­work­ing, trav­el­ing and read­ing. Mr. Fox was a mem­ber of Wi­comico Pres­by­te­rian Church and a life mem­ber of a Ma­sonic Lodge in Oakridge, TN.

He is sur­vived by his wife of 69 years, Jane Fox of Sal­is­bury; a son Andy Fox and wife Janet of Sharp­town; two grand­daugh­ters: Katie Mal­don­ado (Benny); and Jessica Fox (John); two great grand­chil­dren: Benny Mal­don­ado and Madi­son Wood­house; and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. Be­sides his par­ents, Mr. Fox is pre­ceded in death by two sis­ters and a brother.

A grave­side ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs­day, Sept. 29, at Old Trin­ity Church­yard, with Pas­tor Dianne Dem­ing of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In lieu of flow­ers, memo­rial con­tri­bu­tions can be made to the Wi­comico Pres­by­te­rian Church, 129 Broad St., Sal­is­bury, MD 21801.
