that the Mid-Shore is often seen as a haven for artists and craftsmen alike, but wanted to add another element to the mix. Something more like the offbeat craft festivals they have traveled to in major cities like Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

“There are so many different kinds of artists and craftsmen out there making outstanding work,” Draper said. “We want to highlight and showcase independent crafters and create a gathering place for like-minded artists who are excited to display their work and talk openly about their craft.”

The festival will highlight experienced crafters as well as those just stepping out of the gate. Attendees can look forward to browsing through the bazaar filled with eclectic arts and crafts.

The bazaar will feature handcrafted soaps, recycled goods, hand cut and soldered glass terrariums, screen printed t-shirts and tote bags, sea glass jewelry, beaded jewelry, torch and kiln formed glass jewelry and welded metal sculptures, woven baskets, mermaid dolls with hand painted faces, hair accessories, prints, hand painted crab shells, paintings and furniture.

In addition to being a marketplace to sell goods, the festival will feature kid’s crafts, and live music. Big Feller’s Hammock, the recently launched Bistro Poplar food truck, will be on hand with a delicious Caribbean menu. Emily’s Produce will also have a space selling apple cider, dumplings, cider donuts, pumpkins and fall gourds for your decorating needs.

The Indie Craft Art Bazaar is a free event designed to celebrate and showcase independent artists from the Mid-Atlantic region. The mission is to provide a unique outdoor venue for artisans to display and sell their work.

The day will include artist demonstrations along with handmade and eclectic works of art for sale. The Indie Craft Art Bazaar believes in giving back to the community and will be donating a portion of our proceeds to the Richardson Maritime Museum.
