Mil­dred Melv­ina (Mar­shall) Brad­shaw

CAM­BRIDGE — Mil­dred Melv­ina (Mar­shall) Brad­shaw, 102, passed away on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 11, 2016, at home. She was born in Ragged Point on Sept. 8, 1914, the daugh­ter of the late Robert Chap­lin and Ella Irene Condon Mar­shall. She was the last sur­viv­ing child of three sis­ters and two broth­ers.

She was ed­u­cated at Hill’s Point School. On Nov. 16, 1932, Mil­dred mar­ried No­ble Lin­wood Brad­shaw. No­ble died on April 19, 1999.

Mil­dred worked at Phillip’s Packing Com­pany and the Rob-Roy Sewing Fac­tor y. She was a lov­ing mother and homemaker and a very good cook. She loved to go crab­bing and fish­ing and loved coun­try mu­sic and gospel mu­sic. When her three sons played at barn dances and Madi­son School House she would be there. Mil­dred’s fa­vorite thing to do was spend­ing time with her chil­dren and grand­chil­dren.

She is sur­vived by two sons, Roy L. Brad­shaw (Faye) and Wil­liam Ran­dall Brad­shaw Sr., all from Cam­bridge; daugh­ter-in­Law Mar­garet Al­lan who has two chil­dren, Ch­eryl and Greg; grand­daugh­terin-law Janet Brad­shaw, Cam­bridge, MD; grand­chil­dren: Larry L. Brad­shaw of Cam­bridge; Mark E. Brad­shaw (Cida) of Lau­rel, MD; Bev­erly Ann Manlove (Steve) of Stevensville, MD; Jef­frey Brad­shaw of East New Mar­ket, MD; Roy C. Brad­shaw (Becky) of Church Creek, MD; No­ble F. Brad­shaw (Mary Ellen) of Gulf Breeze, FL; Wil­liam R. Brad­shaw II (Amy) of Lau­rel, DE; and James H. Brad­shaw (Cathy) of Town Point; great-grand­chil­dren: An­drew T. Brad­shaw of Cam­bridge; Gun­ther K. Brad­shaw of Lau­rel, MD; Kait­lyn Manlove; Brian Manlove; Thomas N. Manlove; Jen­nifer F. Manlove, of Stevensville, MD; Candi A. Price of Lau­rel, DE; Bran­don R. Brad­shaw of Lau­rel, DE; Matthew Brad­shaw of Crestview, FL; Jack­lyn Marie Bores (Shane) of Crestview, FL; great-great­grand­chil­dren: An­nika Price of Lau­rel, DE; Ronin Brad­shaw of Crestview, FL; and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews.

Pre­ced­ing her in death, be­sides her par­ents and hus­band, was a son Robert Franklin Brad­shaw; grand­son Law­son Ben­son Brad­shaw; great-great-grand­daugh­ter Erica Price; three daugh­ters-in-law: Kaye Brad­shaw; Barbara Brad­shaw; Ruth Ann Brad­shaw; two sis­ters: Mary Irene Mar­shall James (Luther); El­iz­a­beth May Mar­shall McNa­mara (Ver­non); two broth­ers: John Wal­ter Mar­shall (Lau­rina) and Wil­liam Robert Mar­shall (Doris).

A funeral ser­vice will be held on Saturday, Oc­to­ber 15 at New­comb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cam­bridge, be­gin­ning 1 p.m. with Rev. A. Delmer Wil­ley Jr. of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial will fol­low at the East New Mar­ket Ceme­tery. A vis­i­ta­tion will be held an hour prior to the ser­vice.

Serv­ing as pall­bear­ers will be Mil­dred’s grand­chil­dren.
