CAM­BRIDGE — Melonie L. Kemp, 50, of Cam­bridge, MD, passed away on Mon­day, Oct. 10, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorch­ester. She was born in Cam­bridge on May 2, 1966, and was a daugh­ter of Peggy Townsend Kemp and the late Irv­ing Kemp.

Melonie grad­u­ated from Cam­bridge South Dorch­ester High School and she also at­tended Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege. Melonie was known for help­ing peo­ple in her neigh­bor­hood and help­ing peo­ple find a job. She en­joyed an­i­mals.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band, Ri­cardo Vil­lalta of

Cam­bridge; four chil­dren: Jen­nifer Mes­sick and hus­band Carl of Cam­bridge; Myranda Vil­lalta of Vi­enna; Car­men Vil­lalta of Cam­bridge; and Ri­cardo R. Vil­lalta of Cam­bridge; sev­eral great grand­chil­dren; three broth­ers: David Kemp, Rod­ney Kemp and Brian Kemp; and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Fam­ily will re­ceive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Mon­day, Oct. 17, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cam­bridge.
