CAM­BRIDGE — Mary E. Jenk­ins, 91, of Cam­bridge, MD, passed away on Mon­day, Oct. 24, 2016, at UMSMC at Dorch­ester. She was born in Hall­wood, VA, on Feb. 26, 1925, and was a daugh­ter of the late Jessie and Lelia Lang Tull.

On Feb. 11, 1946, she mar­ried Phillip T. “Tom” Jenk­ins Sr. who passed away on Dec. 12, 1997. Mrs. Jenk­ins was a sales lady for many years at Edgar’s and Frank Wright’s Cloth­ing Store. She was a mem­ber of the First Bap­tist Church in Cam­bridge and the Cam­bridge Elks.

She is sur­vived by a daugh­ter, Deb­bie John­son and hus­band Sarge of Cam­bridge; two grand­chil­dren: Phillip T. Jenk­ins III (Stephanie) and Amy Pat- ter­son (Steve); great grand­chil­dren: Josh Cook, Shelby Cook (Abby), Brooke Jenk­ins and Ryan Patterson; and a great great grand­son, Jonathan Schwartz. Be­sides her par­ents and her hus­band, Mrs. Jenk­ins is pre­ceded in death by a son, Phillip T. Jenk­ins Jr., a sis­ter, Thelm Bayly, and two broth­ers, Matthew Tull and Edward Tull.

A grave­side ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. Tues­day, Nov. 1, at the Mary­land Eastern Shore Veter­ans Ceme­tery with Pas­tor Steve Trice of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions can be made to the First Bap­tist Church, 501 Glen­burn Ave., Cam­bridge, MD 21613.
