CAM­BRIDGE — Edward O. Pete Jr., born on Jan. 12, 1948 in Cam­bridge, MD. On this day of Sept. 19, 2016, he went home to be with his Lord and Sav­ior. He at­tended schools in Cam­bridge, MD, and grad­u­ated in the class of 1966. Af­ter grad­u­at­ing, he joined the U.S. Army. While in the Army, he was sta­tioned in Korea and Ok­i­nawa. While serv­ing in Korea, he mar­ried his wife Lana K. Pete. They were mar­ried for 47 years.

He is sur­vived by two daugh­ters: Sherry P. Dud­ley and Sandy P. Bran­nan; two grand­chil­dren: Kaylee Painter and Zac Painter; two sis­ters: Jo P. Can­non and Deb­bie Mills; three nieces: Tam­mie Willis; Jan Can­non; and Laura James; four neph­ews: Wes­ley Can­non Jr.; Jeff Mills Jr.; Rob­bie Son­jew; and Scott; sev­eral great nieces and neph­ews.

Ed was pre­ceded in death by his fa­ther, Ed Pete Sr.; his mother, Ann Sharp Pete; and a sis­ter, Lau­rie Pete.

Ed was a long time mem­ber of the Good Shep­herd Church in Greens­boro, NC, where he served as church trea­surer.

He en­joyed be­ing with his fam­ily and friends, es­pe­cially his brother in law, Wes. He loved his church and en­joyed trav­el­ing with his wife. Any­one who knew him was as­sured that he was a godly man. He will be truly missed by all.
