Edward O. Pete Jr.
CAMBRIDGE — Edward O. Pete Jr., born on Jan. 12, 1948 in Cambridge, MD. On this day of Sept. 19, 2016, he went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He attended schools in Cambridge, MD, and graduated in the class of 1966. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Army. While in the Army, he was stationed in Korea and Okinawa. While serving in Korea, he married his wife Lana K. Pete. They were married for 47 years.
He is survived by two daughters: Sherry P. Dudley and Sandy P. Brannan; two grandchildren: Kaylee Painter and Zac Painter; two sisters: Jo P. Cannon and Debbie Mills; three nieces: Tammie Willis; Jan Cannon; and Laura James; four nephews: Wesley Cannon Jr.; Jeff Mills Jr.; Robbie Sonjew; and Scott; several great nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Ed Pete Sr.; his mother, Ann Sharp Pete; and a sister, Laurie Pete.
Ed was a long time member of the Good Shepherd Church in Greensboro, NC, where he served as church treasurer.
He enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially his brother in law, Wes. He loved his church and enjoyed traveling with his wife. Anyone who knew him was assured that he was a godly man. He will be truly missed by all.
