CAMBRIDGE — A pop-up shop opening for the holidays in downtown Cambridge will feature a pair of familiar faces in the Cambridge community.

Secrets of the Eastern Shore, the online business run by local couple Jim Duffy and Jill Jasuta, will have a temporary retail storefront at 412 Race Street downtown.

In addition to its online presence, Secrets of the Eastern Shore is a frequent participant in area events and festivals. The business’s best-known products are greeting cards and photo prints, featuring Jasuta’s photography and the new book “Eastern Shore Road Trips: 27 One-Day Adventures on Delmarva,” which was written by Duffy.

The shop will open its doors for the first time on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26. Its arrival is part of an ambitious series holiday promotions spearheaded by the nonprofit Cambridge Main Street and planned for downtown Cambridge in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

“This really all got under way when Main Street director Katie Clendaniel got in touch to share the idea,” Duffy said. “She is the one who connected us with building owners Michael and Heather Rosato, who’ve also been so generous and supportive with their help.”

In addition to their own work, Duffy and Jasuta have handpicked a few guest artists whose work also will be available in in the shop. These artists include: •Maryland-themed cards and matted prints by the painter Rachel Woodard Alvarez of Salisbur y, aka “The Nap Time Artist.” Hand-painted oyster shells by the artist Amy Marlett, a Kent Island resident whose work appears online under the name Amy’s Love Craft. Hand-crafted jewelry piece by the Joyce Fritz Ritz of Cambridge, aka “Souly Joyce.”

In addition to Duffy’s Secrets of the Eastern Shore book, the shop will carry a fun self-help book titled, “Rule #1: Crazy People Make You Crazy.” Duffy became a fan of that book, which offers workplace and life strategies for dealing with difficult people, while doing some editing work with Patterson, a Baltimore resident.

In addition to Small Business Saturday Nov. 26, the Secrets Pop Up Shop is planning to be open during the Second Saturday festivities in downtown Cambridge on Saturday, Dec. 10.
