CAM­BRIDGE — Ralph Craig Sch­nei­der, 70, of Cam­bridge, passed away at UMSMC at Dorch­ester on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016. He was born in Bal­ti­more on Aug. 16, 1946, to the late Melvin Au­gus­tus Sch­nei­der Sr. and Mar­i­an­gela Caple Sch­nei­der.

Craig served in the Navy for three years. On Nov. 9, 1984, he mar­ried the for­mer Bar­bara Zelin­ski. He and Bar­bara shared a beloved home on Brooks Creek, which was his fa­vorite place on Earth. He worked as a su­per­vi­sor at Ver­i­zon un­til he re­tired.

Craig en­joyed fish­ing, hunt­ing, boat­ing, crossword puz­zles, and scrabble. He loved the out­doors, which he taught his daugh­ters to love every day. He had a spe­cial love for John Wayne. Craig was a Com­man­der of the VFW Post 7460 in Cam­bridge and a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 91.

Craig is sur­vived by his wife of 32 years, Bar­bara, of Cam­bridge, M D ; daugh­ters, Katie Bau­com and hus­band, Chad and Becky Wool­ford and hus­band, Kenny; six grand­chil­dren; sis­ters-in-law, Faye Sch­nei­der and Georgie Sch­nei­der; three nieces and one great nephew. Be­sides his par­ents, he is pre­ceded in death by three broth­ers, Melvin Au­gus­tus Sch­nei­der Jr., Carl Sch­nei­der and Barry Sch­nei­der.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Thomas Fu­neral Home, P.A. in Cam­bridge, MD, with Rev. Pam Bockart of­fi­ci­at­ing. Fam­ily will re­ceive friends one hour prior to the ser­vice.

In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions can be made to the Chop­tank Me­mo­rial Post 7460, 115 Sandy Hill Road, Cam­bridge, MD.
