Frances El­iz­a­beth Daniel Price

TOWN POINT — Frances El­iz­a­beth Daniel Price, 93, of Town Point, passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at UMSMC at Dorch­ester. She was born in New York City on Feb. 9, 1923, and was the daugh­ter of the late Florence Du­flocq Daniel and Charles E. Daniel Sr. She was mar­ried for over 62 years to the late Dale C. Price Sr., un­til his death on Nov. 28, 2005. Mrs. Price was pre­ceded in death by her brother, Charles E. Daniels Jr., and son in law, Ray­mond A. Hen­nessy Sr.

Prior to her mar­riage to Dale Sr. on Oct. 30, 1943, Frances at­tended Deni­son Univer­sity in Granville, Ohio, as a mem­ber of the Class of 1941. Af­ter rais­ing her fam­ily and teach­ing in sev­eral Dorch­ester County Pub­lic Schools, she re­turned to col­lege

to earn a Bach­e­lor of Sci­ence from Sal­is­bury State Col­lege, grad­u­at­ing in 1979. Frances was a life-long mem­ber of Zion United Methodist on Lo­cust Street and an ac­tive mem­ber of the Cam­bridge (Dorch­ester Gen­eral) Hos­pi­tal Aux­il­iary, es­pe­cially at the Robin Hood Shop. Part­ner­ing with her hus­band, Frances was in­stru­men­tal in keep­ing the Dorch­ester Her­itage Mu­seum at Horn Point open and op­er­at­ing for many years. She was ded­i­cated to her hob­bies of read­ing, stamp col­lect­ing, nee­dle craft­ing of all kinds, and over 70 years of pre­par­ing photo al­bums

of her fam­ily. Frances was an ex­cel­lent, life-long bridge player.

Frances is sur­vived by her chil­dren: Donna C. Hen­nessy of Sykesville; Dale C. Price Jr. and wife Lynda of Cam­bridge; Deb­ora C. Han­cock and hus­band Don­ald of LaPlata; Daniel C. Price and wife Su­san of Cam­bridge; 11 grand­chil­dren: Pa­tri­cia A. Hen­nessy, Dale C. Price III and wife Dawn, Laura E. Hen­nessy, Dean C. Price and wife Kate, Brian C. Brookhart and wife Julie, Christo­pher R. Brookhart and wife April, Ray­mond A. Hen­nessy Jr., Kelly A. McNa­mara and hus­band Mark, Dianna C. Price and John Court­ney, Dar­ryl C. Price and wife Lind­sey and DJ Lee (Han­cock). In ad­di­tion, she also leaves 15 great grand­chil­dren: Me­gan, Al­li­son, Car­rie, Ash­lie, Jeremy, An­drew, Alyssa, Eric, Ryan, Sarah, Ad­di­son, Des­mond,

Ciara, Made­lyn and Greyson.

Pall­bear­ers will be her grand­chil­dren.

A fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thurs­day, Dec. 1, at Thomas Fu­neral Home, P.A. in Cam­bridge, with Rev. Mary Ann Far­nell of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at the Mary­land East­ern Shore Vet­er­ans Ceme­tery. Fam­ily will re­ceive friends on Wed­nes­day evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the ser­vice on Thurs­day.
