Salvation Army announces 20/20 Mission
CAMBRIDGE — The Salvation Army of the Mid-Shore is announcing Mission 20/20.
The mission is to find a red Salvation Army kettle and place a $20 bill in it on Tuesday, Dec. 20. If the Salvation Army gets at least 300 people to accept the mission, they can raise $6,000 toward its $90,000 goal in just one day.
The Salvation Army currently is a little over halfway to its goal and time is running out. Funds raised in Salvation Army kettles are used in the communities where they are collected to provide food, toys, and clothes to area children at Christmas as well as food for seniors. The funds also are used throughout the year for our various homelessness prevention programs including utility and rental assistance as well as to operate the House of Hope Emergency Homeless Shelter.
Red kettles can be found in Cambridge, Easton, Denton, Centreville and Stevensville on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
