Sal­va­tion Army Adult Bi­ble Class Sun­days

The Sal­va­tion Army, 200 Wash­ing­ton Street, would like to in­vite the pub­lic to par­tic­i­pate in the Adult Bi­ble Class held each Sun­day morn­ing at 9:45 a.m. Classes in­volve singing hymns, prayer and a Bi­ble les­son, of­ten with guest speak­ers and spe­cial mu­sic. Cof­fee and pas­tries are of­fered. Chil­dren’s classes are also avail­able, and a wor­ship ser vice fol­lows at 11 a.m.

82nd RFC Train Gar­den Thru Dec. 30

The 82nd an­nual Res­cue Fire Com­pany Christ­mas Train Gar­den is open 6 to 9 p.m. Mon­day through Fri­day at the old fire­house on Gay Street in Cam­bridge. This Dorch­ester hol­i­day tra­di­tion also is open 1 to 4 p.m. Satur­days and Sun­days in De­cem­ber. Ad­mis­sion is free and re­fresh­ments will be sold. Linkwood-Salem VFC New Year’s Eve Party Dec. 31

The Linkwood-Salem Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany will be host­ing a New Year’s Eve party at the Cam­bridge Moose Lodge Satur­day, Dec. 31. Tick­ets are $30 a per­son, which in­cludes party snacks, cham­pagne toast to ring in 2017 and party fa­vors. There will be a cash bar and photo booth. Dorch­ester Board of Ed­u­ca­tion Bud­get Work Ses­sion Jan. 5

The Board of Ed­u­ca­tion of Dorch­ester County will con­duct a bud­get work ses­sion with com­ments from the pub­lic at 5 p.m. on Thurs­day, Jan. 5, 2017. The meet­ing will be held in the Mul­ti­Pur­pose Room of the Dorch­ester Ca­reer and Tech­nol­ogy Cen­ter, 2465 Ocean Gate­way.
