The event was a joint venture with one goal in mind: to help a group of Dorchester County senior citizens know someone cares. Chef Christine Zinnel and her senior culinary class prepared food for more than 100 people. Her junior class followed, helping with some of the cleanup.

When the guests arrived, the room was decorated with centerpieces prepared by Terry Nuwer and her horticulture class. Medical service students finished the decorating and helped with the cleanup. They also were on hand to help with activities following the meal.
