Dorchester Swingers Dance Night First Friday of the Month
The Dorchester Swingers, a local Square Dance club, hosts its monthly dance on the first Friday of every month at Maple Elementary school on Egypt Road in Cambridge from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The cost is $7 per guest dancers; and free for members and observers. Come and enjoy the fun and the free snacks. This kind of activity challenges the mind and the body. Workshops are held on Tuesday nights 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the same location in the Multi-Purpose Room of the school. Dorchester Center for the Arts Spring Comedy Series Last Fridays, April — June
Dorchester Center for the Arts will host Friday Night Live: Spring Comedy Series from 7 to 9 p.m. on the last Friday of each month, April 28, May 26, and June 30. Amateur comedians will take part in an open mic challenge on the gallery stage where the audience vote helps determine the winner of each night’s money prize. Salvation Army Adult Bible Class Sundays
The Salvation Army, 200 Washington Street, would like to invite the public to participate in the Adult Bible Class held each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. Classes involve singing hymns, prayer and a Bible lesson, often with guest speakers and special music. Coffee and pastries are offered. Children’s classes are also available, and a worship service follows at 11 a.m.
Dorchester Faith Alliance Walk of the Cross April 14
Dorchester Faith Alliance will host the Walk of the Cross from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 14. The route will start at St. Mary Refuge Catholic Church, 1515 Glasgow St., and then go to First Baptist Church, 501 Glenburn Ave., Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust St., Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, 425 High St., Bethel A.M.E. Church, 623 Pine St., Jubilee Christian Fellowship, 415 Academy St., before ending at Christ Episcopal Church, 215 High St. A brief 10-minute liturgy will be conducted at each of the seven churches. All are welcomed.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser April 15
A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to benefit Children’s ministries at the Cambridge Wesleyan Church will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Cambridge Wesleyan Church Family Life Center.
