posted two shutouts in 10 years before blanking Easton 17-0 on Friday for homecoming in Berlin.
(In 2007, the Seahawks did it three times, by the way, but went 6-4 and missed the playoffs despite blowing out Washington 58-0, Easton 28-0, and North Caroline 38-0.)
Washington visits Snow Hill in what might be the Seahawks’ last chance to pick up a win this year, while Easton hopes to rebound from a loss on the road last week by playing well on the road this week at Kent Island.
There are games in Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Worcester, and Wicomico Counties this week. Check one out; it’s worth the four bucks.
Thursday’s Games Queen Anne’s (5-2) at Wicomico (4-3)
Skill and speed against speed and increasing skill. This could be a great game to watch. — Lions, 27-20.
Washington (2-5) at Snow Hill (0-7)
Though Washington has the most losses of any Bayside football team since 2003, I don’t see the Eagles stopping the quirky A-11 offense they’ll face. — Jaguars, 35-26.
Parkside (5-2) at Decatur (3-4)
Another game with a lot of potential, including a little speed to make it interesting. — Rams, 39-28.
Cambridge-SD (3-4) at Kent County (1-6)
The Vikings are 3-4 on the field for the first time since 2010. If they lose, it’ll be the first time they’re 3-5 since 2010 as well. But they’re playing a 1A foe... (Radio: WAAI 100.9 FM, pregame 6:15 p.m.) — Vikings, 35-13.
Friday’s Games Northampton, Va. (3-4) at Col. Richardson (4-3)
This is like being blindfolded and throwing darts at a board. I hit... — Colonels, 26-24.
Game of the Week North Caroline (7-0) at J. M. Bennett (5-2)
Like in basketball or baseball, this game rarely disappoints. But this year, the visitors might make it disappointing for the home crowd. (Radio: 94.3 WINX-FM, pregame 6:15 p.m.)
— Bulldogs, 35-12.
Easton (2-5) at Kent Island (6-1)
Kent Island’s one of those teams you don’t wanna face if they’re coming off a loss (or a win, most years), especially if half of your offense is hurt. — Buccaneers, 45-12.
