CAMBRIDGE — Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Cambridge Lodge 1272 recently presented a grant of $3,500 to the Police Department of the City of Cambridge.

The grant was obtained from the Elks National Foundation (ENF) to be used by the department for outfitting new officers and other recently mandated expenses to improve local law enforcement agencies’ protective capabilities.

The lodge was particularly concerned about recent events at schools all over the country and wanted the local police to have the equipment they need to protect students and all the people of the area.
