Bethel AME Church dedicates Little Free Library
CAMBRIDGE — Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Cambridge dedicated its Little Free Library on Sunday, July 1. The library was built and donated by Kevin Beverly to the Dorchester Retired Educators Association.
Little Free Libraries is a nonprofit organization that promotes a love for reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges. The organization’s slogan is “Take a Book — Return a Book.” The books are free to anyone in the community to take a book, exchange or return a book or give a book to a friend.
The goal is to welcome participation from within the community and keep the library full at all times.
