DREAMS DO COME TRUE
As we sum up 2016 and move into 2017, we thank God for His guidance and direction. We could not have done it without Him. He has paved the way to an amazing future.
ll of the talents that DREAM TEEN Magazine (DTM) has featured this year are on their way to experience opportunities that they would have never imagined. They have already begun to surpass what most would say is impossible or only a dream.
Well, dreams do come true and it is important to dream fearlessly.
Our move to Atlanta this year has opened doors and opportunities for the publication. On August 23rd, the president of DTM, Leo Carter and I launched DREAM TEEN Inspirational Talk Radio. We were able to make several connections that will present other projects in the near future. Additionally, we have a new junior reporter, Andrew Culbreath and a new contributor, Bella Tipping from Australia; she writes for the travel column.
To name a few, talent Brooke Baker interned with Ebony magazine during the summer and actually made their summer issue. Brea Baker is now living in Singapore where she has begun her career. Jordan & Joelle, after graduating from college, now writes for a major publication, Media Planet USA. During their time with Mediaplanet, their advocacy and awareness campaigns have been published in major publications such as USA Today, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, and San Francisco Chronicle and has allowed them to work with celebrities and key opinion leaders such as Sofia Vergara, NAACP, American Diabetes Foundation, Common, Lucy Liu, and many more! Additionaly, their new book was released, “Twin Tales.” DTM’s photographer Rickey Allen continues to perfect his talent and stays busy in his profession. We also have a new photographer, Alexandria Harris who handles the Pennsylvania and Maryland area.
This has been an amazing year and it’s just going to get better!
