This Hol­i­day Sea­son, start a new ggood habit byy do­nat­ing your time and tal­ent to help p oth­ers and con­tinue all year long. It is a nor-mal re­ac­tion to en­gage in com­mu­nity ser­vice, which is great thing, but don’t for­get to serve be­yond the hol­i­days! Vol­un­teerism is al­ways in. It will never go out of style. Help is al­ways needed and if you haven’t started vol­un­teer­ing... now is the time! Com­mu­nity ser­vice is youry ‘WIN WIN’ friend. It al­lows yyou to feel ggood, af­fords you the op­por­tu­nity to make oth­ers feel good and helps to build your col­lege ap­pli­ca­tion pro­file. Thanks­giv­ing and Christ­mas bringg on tra­di­tional com­mu­nity ser­vice projects. From food banks and food drives, to warm cloth­ing items, soup kitchens and toy drives…, help is needed. An­i­mal shel­ters, park sys­tems, com­mu­nity cen­ters, hos­pi­tals and nurs­ing homes, just to name a few, are also look­ing for vol­un­teers. Take time to re­search where you can lend your ser­vice dur­ing this busy time of year. While do­ingg your re­search, look for or­ga­ni­za­tions that can use youry help­ing hands through­out the year.
