Zac has been splash­ing the screens with his self taught cook­ing tech­niques and con­fi­dence in the kitchen. After Sea­son 4 of MasterChef Ju nior, MasterChef Celebrity Show­down and FYI’s Stove Tots, DREAM TEEN Mag­a­zine had the op­por­tu­nity to in­ter­view him.

Zac is known for his ap­pear­ance on the fourth sea­son of MasterChef Ju­nior. He was a semi­fi­nal­ist in the Fi­nal Four of Gor­don Ram­say’s MasterChef Ju­nior cook­ing com­pe­ti­tion. He also ap­peared on MasterChef Celebrity Show­down, a re­al­ity cook­ing show that aired on Fox net­work.

We asked Zac about his ex­pe­ri­ence on MasterChef Ju­nior. He says that it was tough, and the ex­pe­ri­ence was great. He en­joyed Gor­don Ram­say; he is an in­cred­i­ble per­son and is funny as well and re­ally wants to help.

Culi­nary celebrity Zac, was born in Toronto, Canada and later moved to Orlando, Florida with his brother and sis­ter. His first love is ten­nis and he has been play­ing since he was 4. Zac says that cook­ing took him by sur­prise, but his love for food helped him to dis­cover his pas­sion for cook­ing and pre­pared him for MasterChef Ju­nior.

Zac cooks amaz­ing dishes for his fam­ily. His choice is fresh veg­eta­bles and fruit. One of his fa­vorite dishes is the pan-seared brondino with a but­ter­nut squash puree, mush­rooms, canola and blackberry re­duc­tion, glazed and shaved car­rots. He said it is de­li­cious.

His con­fi­dence con­trib­uted to him be­ing the youngest head chef ever, in the Cana­dian Food Cham­pi­onships as a qual­i­fier for the World Food Cham­pi­onships. He was nom­i­nated for a Young En­ter­tain­ers Award for Best Web Se­ries for “Cook­ing with Zac.” He also earned a Top Five place­ment out of 56 of the finest chefs in Orlando at the Gourmet Soiree.

Zac’s be­lief in his pas­sion and dream has opened other doors to act­ing. His cook­ing has helped him with the pres­sure and ner­vous­ness when play­ing ten­nis. His par­ents sup­port is a an­chor for his cook­ing and act­ing ca­reer. He says that he is en­joy­ing the jour­ney while learn­ing to mas­ter his tal­ent. DT

Zac Kara not only im­pressed celebrity chefs, he has caught the at­ten­tion of foodie fans and peers from his YouTube cook­ing show and cook­book. Both are geared to get teenagers cook­ing and into the kitchen.
