Arkansas vol­un­teers served around 1,800 peo­ple most days for lunch and about 1,200 for evening meals. The Arkansas con­tin­gent will re­turn on Sept. 19, af­ter a week-long mis­sion to help Tex­ans. Be­low, vol­un­teers, in­clud­ing Cindy Lynn, cen­ter, of Lit­tle Rock, for­merly of El Do­rado, served with the South­ern Bap­tist Con­ven­tion and spent sev­eral hours each day pre­par­ing meals for those still dis­placed by the hur­ri­cane.
