Me­mo­rial Ser­vices for Gary D. Grimes, 47, will be held at 2 p.m. to­day at El Do­rado Church of God, lo­cated at 2717 Par­nell Road, El Do­rado, with Pas­tor Eric Syn­der of­fi­ci­at­ing. Fel­low­ship for the fam­ily and friends will fol­low the me­mo­rial ser­vices.

Vis­i­ta­tion for Mittie Lee Wright, 98, will be held from 1 un­til 2 p.m. in the chapel of Young's Fu­neral Di­rec­tors. Ser­vices will fol­low at 2 p.m. and burial will be in Smack­over Ceme­tery un­der the di­rec­tion of Young's.

Jimmy (JC) Clyde Bates 82, born in El Do­rado and long­time res­i­dent of Pearl River, Louisiana went to his heav­enly home Thurs­day, Au­gust 31, 2017.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Elmer Ray Bates and Ma­bel Al­phin Bates; brother Keith Ray Bates all of El Do­rado.

Sur­vivors in­clude his lov­ing wife of 63 years Edith ElDain Ma­jor Bates of Pearl River, Louisiana; sons, Jay Clyde Bates(Janis) of Picayune, Mis­sis­sippi and Shay David Bates of Pearl River, Louisiana; daugh­ters, Kay Ann Bates of Picayune, Mis­sis­sippi and Tray Lynn Koster(Craig) of Slidell, Louisiana; sis­ters Mary Har­bor of Cros­sett, Carol Jenkins of Lake Vil­lage and Alice Sor­rells of El Do­rado; brother, Dan Bates of El Do­rado. Four Won­der­ful and Lov­ing Grand­chil­dren, Shawna, Jared, An­drew and Brit­tanie Bates.

For those who knew Dad, the world will be a sad­der place, your fam­ily Loved you so much.

In keep­ing with the wishes of Dad, there will be no fu­neral ser­vices. Kind thoughts, re­mem­brances and prayers are wel­come dur­ing this dif­fi­cult time.
