Park­ers Chapel places sixth in Jack Huntz In­vi­ta­tional

TEXARKANA - Park­ers Chapel’s Jana Avery and Ali Looney fin­ished 12th and 13th, re­spec­tively, to lead the Lady Tro­jans to a sixth place show­ing in the Jack Huntz Cross Coun­try In­vi­ta­tional Satur­day.

Avery ran a time of 22:50 with Looney clock­ing a 23:01 in the field of ap­prox­i­mately 120 run­ners.

Ken­lee McAuliffe (27:33), Drue Thomas (28:57) and Sa­van­nah Slaugh­ter (30:16) rounded out Park­ers Chapel’s top five se­nior girls.

In se­nior boys, the Tro­jans placed sev­enth, led by Pre­ston Stiven­der, who had a time of 19:53. Michael Brother­ton (21:07), Daw­son Good­win (21:52), Korvin McAuliffe (22:14) and Thomas Hardy (22:52) rounded out Park­ers Chapel’s top five se­nior boys.

In ju­nior boys, PC’s Carter Jones fin­ished third, post­ing a 9:52 in the twom­ile course. Clay Evers (12:55), Pa­trick Copes (14:33) and Brody Good­win (16:17) rounded out the ju­nior Tro­jans.

Madison Suli­van (14:41) led PC’s ju­nior girls fol­lowed by Han­nah Brother­ton (14:52), Lexi Killingsworth (15:10), Mad­die Wylie (15:29) and Re­bekah Hardy (15:44).

El Do­rado's boys golf team de­feated Sheri­dan 361-377 Thurs­day at the El Do­rado Coun­try Club.

Noah Gaul won medal­ist hon­ors with 85. Bren­nan Jones (89), Shaun York (91), Pre­ston Howard (96), Jake Mat­tox (102), Gabrien Parker (102) and McKen­zie Eg­gle­ston (112) rounded out the scores for El Do­rado.

In ju­nior var­sity, Jonathan Jones shot 88 and Mace Nokes shot 98.

In sev­enth grade foot­ball on Satur­day, El Do­rado downed Mag­no­lia 36-14. The Wild­cats led 30-6 at the half.

Jon Brooks Elia passed for 40 yards a TD. Or­lando Hamp­ton had 70 yards rush­ing with a TD. Kameron Moody had 78 yards rush­ing with a TD. De­un­dra Burns had 65 yards rush­ing with a TD. Rod­er­ick Watts had 39 yards rush­ing with a TD. The Wild­cats play in Pine Bluff Tues­day at 6 p.m.
