Junc­tion City knocks off Fouke to im­prove to 6-0

News-Times Staff JUNC­TION CITY - Jaimar­i­ous Fra­zier ran for two scores and Wiz­dom Brown had a touch­down on of­fense and de­fense, as Junc­tion City's ju­nior high team stayed un­de­feated with a 36-8 win over Fouke on Thurs­day night.

Fra­zier opened the scor­ing in the first quar­ter with a 40-yard run while also adding the two-point con­ver­sion to give the Dragons (6-0) the early lead, but Fouke tied the game later in the pe­riod.

The score would re­main tied un­til the third quar­ter when the Dragons pulled away.

Gabe Richard con­nected with Brown on a 28-yard touch­down strike to give the Dragons a 14-8 lead.

Then Junc­tion City's de­fense came up with a big play, as Brown re­cov­ered a fum­ble and re­turned it three yards for a score that made it 22-8 af­ter Fra­zier's suc­cess­ful run on the two­point con­ver­sion.

Junc­tion City put the game away in the fi­nal stanza with two more scores.

Fra­zier col­lected his sec­ond rush­ing touch­down of the game with an 8-yard jaunt, and Ja­mal John­son added an 8-yard touch­down run of his own with Chase Wood's run on the two-point con­ver­sion mak­ing the fi­nal mar­gin.

Junc­tion City will play at Smack­over next week.

WEST SIDE CHRIS­TIAN

WINS ON ROAD CAMDEN - West Side Chris­tian's vol­ley­ball went on the road and picked up a win in four sets over Vic­tory Chris­tian to close out the reg­u­lar sea­son on Thurs­day.

The Lady War­riors won by scores of 25-13, 25-13, 19-25 and 25-22.

Next up for West Side Chris­tian is their district tour­na­ment, which be­gins on Oc­to­ber 20.
