Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Satur­day at the Ebenezer Bap­tist Church in Strong. Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 10 un­til ser­vice time at the church.

Burial will fol­low in the Hut­tig Ceme­tery un­der the di­rec­tion of Mitchell Me­mo­rial Funeral Ser­vice in Cros­sett.

MARY CHRISTO­PHER Funeral for Mary Christo­pher will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Satur­day, Dec. 9, 2017 at Greater Par­adise Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church.

Burial will fol­low in Lit­tle Hope Ceme­tery in Spearsville, Louisiana un­der the di­rec­tion of An­drews Funeral Home.

MARY JONES Funeral for Mary Jones, 66, of Mag­no­lia, who died Satur­day, Dec. 2, 2017, will be held at 2 p.m. Satur­day, Dec. 9, at Trin­ity CME Church of Mag­no­lia with the Rev. Al Brewer of­fi­ci­at­ing.

Burial will fol­low in Ken­drick Chapel Ceme­tery in Wil­lisville, un­der the di­rec­tion of Hen­der­son Funeral Ser­vice.


HE­LEN S. CHERRY He­len Se­hon Cherry, of El Do­rado, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2017 at the age of 87 years. She was born on Dec. 14, 1929 in Hut­tig, Arkansas, to Grant and Mag­gie Se­hon.

She mar­ried H.C. Cherry on Nov.

20, 1948, and they made El Do­rado their home. She was a long time mem­ber of West­side Bap­tist Church and es­pe­cially loved her ladies Sun­day School Class.

He­len worked for over 25 years in the Union County Clerk’s Of­fice.

Her fam­ily was her main fo­cus in life. She was self­less in her love, care, and sup­port for her chil­dren. She truly ex­em­pli­fied a Proverbs 31 wo­man.

She was pre­ceded in death by; her par­ents, her hus­band, three broth­ers, two sis­ters, one grand­son, and one son-in-law.

Those left to lov­ingly cher­ish her mem­ory are her five chil­dren, Jeff Cherry (Laura), Mark Cherry (Jen­nifer), Chris Cherry (Gina), Joy Walthall (Ron­nie, de­ceased) and Jay Cherry (Suzy). She adored each of her twelve grand­chil­dren; Stephanie Prock, Faith Cherry, Blake Cherry, Joseph Cherry, Kalen Cherry, An­drew Cherry, Ash­lee Cherry, Re­becca Davis (Drew), Kati Blan­chard (Vance), Will Walthall, Ian Cherry (Jen­nifer) and Me­gan Cherry; 17 great grand­chil­dren; and 2 great­great grand­chil­dren.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be­gin at 12:00 pm with ser­vice to fol­low at 1:00 pm at Bai­ley Funeral Home Chapel on Dec. 9, 2017 with Rev. Keith Dod­son of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Ar­ling­ton Me­mo­rial Park un­der the di­rec­tion of Bai­ley Funeral Home.

JOHN MCLELLAND John McLelland, 64, went to be with our heav­enly Fa­ther on Dec. 3, 2017. He was born on Dec. 20, 1952 and was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, John and Sue McLelland; two sis­ters, Joanna McLelland and Robin El­li­son and two grand­chil­dren.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife of 23 years, Jan­ice McLelland; one son, Michael (Rachel) McLelland; one brother, Roger (Vicky) McLelland; one sis­ter, Kim (Gary) Ben­net; three step­sons; one step­daugh­ter and 11 grand­chil­dren.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs­day, Dec. 7, 2017, at Col­lege Av­enue Church of Christ in El Do­rado. Funeral will be held at

2 p.m. fol­low­ing vis­i­ta­tion, with Pas­tor Kent Jobe will be lead­ing the ser­vices.

Cre­ma­tion ser­vices have been en­trusted to A Nat­u­ral State Funeral Ser­vice of Jack­sonville.
