Lady Techsters scheduled to take on Missouri State in Women's NIT

RUSTON, La. – For the second straight year Louisiana Tech will play in the field of 64 for the Women’s National Invitation Tournament as the teams were released by Triple Crown Sports Monday night and this time the Lady Techsters will host a first round game.

The Lady Techsters will host Missouri State Thursday at the Thomas Assembly Center. Tipoff time will be announced Tuesday. Tickets for the game will go on sale in the Tech Ticket Office at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (age 4-17). Tech students will get in free with valid Tech ID.

Fans can purchase tickets by calling 318-2573631, emailing techtickets@latech.edu, logging onto LATechSports.com or coming by the office located in the Thomas Assembly Center (8:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.).

Missouri State is out of the Missouri Valley Conference. The Bears posted a 20-11 record, including a 15-3 mark in league play and a second place finish. They are coached by former Tennessee Lady Vol Kelly Jolly Harper.

Tech (19-11) earned an at-large bid along with Conference USA members Rice and Middle Tennessee while regular season league champion UAB earned the automatic bid.
