Facebook Best in Show

Electric Flight - - AIRMAIL -

We recently posted Joe Lewandoski’s impressive e-powered Dornier Do 335 “Arrow,” which ended up earning Joe the Best in Show award at the AMA Expo East. Joe’s WW II Luftwaffe fighter was beautifully detailed, and it impressed everyone. It was powered with a pair of E-flite Power 160 brushless motors, with two 10S 5000mah Lipo packs for each motor. We received a lot of comments about this 35-pound beauty, and here’s what some of you had to say.

JR: One of my favorites from WW II. I always love seeing the one at the Udvar-hazy Center outside of Washington, D.C.

PS: And it is HUGE! The pilot figure looks like it’s the wrong scale, but it’s not.

RV: Excellent model. The owner was very hospitable and shared a lot on the model and its history when I spoke with him at the show. JB: But does it fly? JT: The in-line twin layout was a very advanced design for its time during WW II.

We love hearing from our readers. Your emails, tweets, and comments let us know what you’d like to see more (or less!) of in our upcoming issues and online. Here’s what some of you are saying about Electric Flight magazine.
