I use the end of summer as an occasion to organize and purge my tack and supplies. I clean and inspect everything. If I haven’t used an item in more than a year, and it’s still in good repair, I might donate it to a local rescue organization or take it to the community tack swap. It’s also a time to ensure that my horse’s winter gear is still in good shape and fits him.— Kelly Wilson, Yakima, Washington
