The Stanislaus County Office of Education is sponsoring YES Company’s 26th Annual summer show, Footloose. The musical is based on the 1984 movie and has become a stage musical phenomenon. It tells the story of a big city kid who moves to a small conservative town where rock music and dancing are frowned upon. The hero of the story rallies the kids and takes on the town’s establishment. The production commitment is extracurricular and includes weekends, June 7 through Aug. 1. The professionally staffed program and top-quality production is provided to the participants for a tuition of $200. Scholarships are available.
