Black Oak Casino Re­sort Hosts Live En­ter­tain­ment

Ev­ery week­end will be ac­tion packed this April as Black Oak Casino Re­sort con­tin­ues to host live en­ter­tain­ment ev­ery Thursday, Fri­day and Satur­day evening. A va­ri­ety of mu­si­cal styles and even a famed co­me­dian will take to the Wil­low Creek Lounge stage through­out the month.

All shows are per­formed in the Casino’s Wil­low Creek Lounge. Most shows are free with a min­i­mal ticket charge for a few se­lect shows. For all 8 p.m. shows, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. while doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for 9 p.m. shows. Seat­ing is first come, first serve.

Here is a look at some of the up­com­ing shows for April. Satur­day, April 1, 9 p.m. – The Cheese­balls: A high­en­ergy dance band out of San Fran­cisco, The Cheese­balls per­form ev­ery­thing from 60s Mo­town and 80s New Wave to the lat­est hits of to­day. Thursday, April 6, 8 p.m. – AC Myles: AC Myles is a blues gui­tarist and singer. The ac­com­plished artist per­forms 60s and 70s blues-rock as well as songs from his own self­penned al­bums, “Re­con­sider Me” and “Rush to Red.” Fri­day, April 7, 8 p.m. – Metal Shop: Con­sid­ered the premier 80s rock ex­pe­ri­ence, Metal Shop recre­ates music from the best hair bands of the decade. Hear them cover such bands as Bon Jovi, Def Lep­pard, Van Halen and more. Satur­day, April 8, 9 p.m. – Au­dioboxx: This is a Reno based rock band cov­er­ing fa­vorites such as Poi­son, Def Lep­pard, AC/DC and Me­tal­lica. Thursday, April 13, 8 p.m. – Co­me­dian G. Reilly: A vet­eran co­me­dian known for the Gabriel Igle­sias’ Fluffy Ma­nia tour, G. Reilly will have fans laugh­ing in the aisles when he of­fers his hi­lar­i­ous opin­ions and ob­ser­va­tions of po­lit­i­cal and so­cial is­sues. Fri­day, April 14, 9 p.m.

– Su­per Huey: This is the ul­ti­mate Huey Lewis and the News music ex­pe­ri­ence. Fans will hear hits like “Heart of Rock ‘n Roll,” “The Power of Love,” “I Want a New Drug” and more. Satur­day, April 15, 9 p.m. – Night Fever: A high-en­ergy party band out of North­ern Cal­i­for­nia, Night Fever cov­ers a range of music styles in­clud­ing Disco, Funk, Pop, Hip-hop and Mo­town. Thursday, April 20, 8 p.m. – Rusty Rock­ers: With music span­ning the 50s and 60s, The Rusty Rock­ers take fans to a for­got­ten time when Elvis, The Plat­ters, The Drifters and Ricky Nel­son ruled the air­waves. Fri­day, April 21, 9 p.m. – Mus­tache Har­bor: Armed with the sim­ple mis­sion to cre­ate a soft rock ex­plo­sion the likes of which has not been seen since the 70s and 80s, Mus­tache Har­bor plays the light music clas­sics fans love. Christo­pher Cross, Steely Dan and Kenny Log­gins are just a few acts cov­ered by the band. Satur­day, April 22, 9 p.m. – Gotcha Cov­ered: A band that lives up to their name, they pay trib­ute to a wide ar­ray of mu­si­cal gen­res. The Modesto based band cov­ers artists like Ma­roon 5, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Tay­lor Swift and many more. Thursday, April 27, 8 p.m. – Mojo Jackson Band: Com­prised of three tal­ented singer song­writ­ers, Mojo Jackson Band com­bines in­sight­ful lyrics with sweet har­monies cre­at­ing a fresh spin on tra­di­tional pop and soul. Fri­day, April 28, 9 p.m. – Jones & Fisher: A young coun­try music duo, Jones & Fisher have melded their styles and in­flu­ences from their re­spec­tive home­towns, Seat­tle and San An­to­nio, to cre­ate their own new unique sound.
