An­nual Coy­oteFest Slated

Now is the time to sign up for the pa­rade, car show or a booth and take part in the an­nual Coul­ter­ville Coy­oteFest, com­ing up on Satur­day, Sept. 23.

The Car Show en­try fee re­mains at just $25 through Aug. 1. Early bird reg­is­tered cars also get dash plaques and a “Goody Bag” and any car en­tered into the show is “comped” into the pa­rade for those in­ter­ested, just note it on the ap­pli­ca­tion. For those en­ter­ing the pa­rade us­ing other means of trans­porta­tion … feet, hoofs, trac­tor, or other ve­hi­cle, reg­is­tra­tion is just $10. Forms for both of these events as well as ven­dor ap­pli­ca­tions can be down­loaded on the coy­ web­site, or you can fill it out there and even pay on­line. For those who still re­sist tech­nol­ogy, just call the mu­seum, 209878-3015, leave your con­tact info and the type of ap­pli­ca­tion you want and one will be mailed to you.

The pa­rade kicks off at 10 a.m. sharp, Peo­ple’s Choice judg­ing is from 11 a.m. un­til 2 p.m., and the Coy­ote Howl Con­tests, live mu­sic, food and mer­chan­dise booths and other en­ter­tain­ment goes from 10 a.m. un­til 4 p.m. in the Coul­ter­ville Park. Coy­ote Howl signups are on site the day of the event, you can sign up for the Horse­shoe con­test that day or in ad­vance by call­ing 209-742-6653.

Facebook fans are in­vited to “like” the Coy­oteFest page and stay updated on the in­for­ma­tion about the an­nual fes­ti­val.

The ven­dor list for the fest has more than dou­bled. For the kids, in ad­di­tion to the Kid’s Korner there will be: Pony Ex­press pony rides, Zippy Rides, Krin­klies Face Paint­ing and Bal­loon Crit­ters, and Jim’s Bounce House.
