With school time start­ing in just weeks, the chil­dren of Escalon Chil­dren Ser­vices have been mak­ing the most of their sum­mer. Groups of kids are hit­ting the Escalon High School pool twice a week to cool off and have fun. The or­ga­ni­za­tion holds both be­fore and af­ter school pro­grams. Chil­dren ages five to 12 en­joy the pool on Tues­days and Fri­days.

(Swim One) Twelve- yearold Hunter Budd can­non­balls into the pool off the div­ing board on Fri­day af­ter­noon.

(Swim Two) For seven years life­guard Ian Fitzger­ald has helped make the pool a fun and safe place for kids to swim dur­ing the sum­mer.

(Swim Three) Ten-year-old Nathan Cur­less sprints down the div­ing board and pen­cils his way into the pool.

(Swim Four) The chil­dren at Escalon Chil­dren Ser­vices were en­joy­ing the sun and wa­ter while also be­ing safe. Some of the younger kids wore life­jack­ets and gog­gles. The Escalon High School pool is open Mon­day through Fri­day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
