April 9, 1932 – Sept. 19, 2017 Fulvia Bettinzoli passed away peace­fully on Septem­ber 19 in Merced at the age of 85. Fulvia was born on April 9, 1932 in Ag­no­sine, Italy. She im­mi­grated to Tracy in 1951 and then set­tled in Escalon in 1966, where she has been a res­i­dent ever since.

Fulvia was an ac­tive parish­ioner at St. Pa­trick’s Catholic Church in Escalon and was a mem­ber of the Dante Club and ICF. She loved to go fish­ing, cook for her fam­ily and go hik­ing to pick mush­rooms. She was an animal lover that had all kinds of pets through­out her life. She was a won­der­ful mother and grand­mother that will be deeply missed.

Fulvia leaves be­hind her chil­dren, Marisa Ne­pote (Den­nis) and Alvin Bettinzoli (Yolanda), her grand­chil­dren, Jen­nifer Ne­pote, John Paul Ne­pote, Alyssa Bettinzoli and Alivia Bettinzoli along with one great grand­son, Erik An­gel. Fulvia also leaves be­hind one sis­ter and her broth­erin-law, Guido Bettinzoli. Fulvia is pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 52 years, John Bettinzoli.

Ar­range­ments have been en­trusted to Dee­gan Fu­neral Chapels. A vis­i­ta­tion is sched­uled for Tues­day, Septem­ber 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dee­gan Chapel in Escalon. A fu­neral mass is sched­uled for Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Pa­trick’s Catholic Church in Escalon. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions in Fulvia’s mem­ory may be made to the Alzheimer’s As­so­ci­a­tion. The Escalon (Calif.) Times Sept. 27, 2017
