Terry Marvin Haw­ley, 75, of Oak­dale, CA, passed away of nat­u­ral causes in Tu­lua Valle del Cuca, Columbia, South Amer­ica on Oc­to­ber 19, 2017. He was born in Modesto, CA to Marvin Lorenzo, and Jean (Jones) Haw­ley. He is sur­vived by his daugh­ters, Carolyn Haw­ley and Bon­nie (Haw­ley) Kel­logg; his grand­chil­dren, Grant, Kevin, and Tay­lor Craw­ford; Lind­sey, and Sean Kel­logg; and his great grand­sons Kanyon Craw­ford, and Cooper Kel­logg. He also leaves his brothers, Ron­ald and Mark Haw­ley, nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews, as well as his long-time com­pan­ion Mariela Mon­dragon.

Terry at­tended Rosedale Ele­men­tary School, a one­room school­house in Eu­gene, CA. While at­tend­ing Oak­dale High School he worked on the fam­ily ranch out­side of Farm­ing­ton, CA, par­tic­i­pated in foot­ball and wrestling. Af­ter grad­u­a­tion his ca­reer con­tin­ued in the dairy in­dus­try. He was man­ager of a large dairy out­side Gale­ton, CO, and later was owner of a dairy equip­ment busi­ness, first in Gree­ley, CO and then in Cald­well, ID. Upon re­turn­ing to CA, he was a field rep­re­sen­ta­tive for Bou-Matic Dairy Equip­ment. In the years prior to his re­tire­ment he was en­gaged in prop­erty sales in the Escalon and Oak­dale area.

As a young man he loved to ride in com­pet­i­tive mo­tor­cy­cle events and ac­quired many tro­phies for all his ef­fort. He en­joyed the out of doors, loved to go four wheel­ing on the back roads of ID, and trav­eled to many coun­tries. Other pas­sions in­cluded golf, hunt­ing, and fish­ing in any body of wa­ter. In later years his home was al­ways open for friends to stop by for ad­vice or just a chat. He was known as a gen­er­ous and friendly neigh­bor and was well loved by his daugh­ters and grand­chil­dren.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice was held in Bo­li­var, Columbia, South Amer­ica on Oc­to­ber 20, 2017, and a Cel­e­bra­tion of Terry’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Satur­day, Novem­ber 11, 2017, at the Gla­dys L. Lem­mons Se­nior Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, 450 East A Street, Oak­dale, CA 95361. Light re­fresh­ments will fol­low the ser­vice. In lieu of cus­tom­ary re­mem­brances, me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions in Terry’s honor can be made to your fa­vorite char­ity. The Escalon (Calif.) Times Nov. 8, 2017
