LOCATED ON A FARM NEAR VIROQUA, WISCONSIN, this round barn is one of many in Vernon County, which boasts more round barns than any other county in the United States. For the record, Fulton County, Indiana, has long declared itself the Round Barn Capital of the World—a slogan adopted before anyone realized Vernon County actually had more. The barn pictured here, owned today by Angie Cina, was built in 1915 by her grandparents, Burt and Mary Cunningham. The structure was used as a dairy barn until the late 1970s and now provides storage space. Angie has worked hard to keep it in good shape, helping to maintain Vernon County’s heritage and round-barn champion status.
