MILE­STONES Amer­ica’s iconic soda brand is re­mov­ing the black-can Coke Zero from U.S. stores and re­plac­ing it with Coke Zero Su­gar, sweet­ened with as­par­tame, which is meant to taste more like reg­u­lar Coke.

CHAL­LENGES The move aims to make Coke more ap­peal­ing to the health­con­scious drinker, but the brand’s diet of­fer­ings have strug­gled as of late. Diet Coke sales fell 4.3% in 2016.
