Get the grit out of greens
No matter how well you wash greens like kale and chard, your gang complains about grittiness. Next time, roll leaves into a cigar shape and slice into 1" ribbons, then submerge in a bowl of water. Cutting the greens before washing them ensures more surface area touches the water, so every speck of grime gets washed away.
