To make, I bake a pre­pared pie shell ac­cord­ing to the in­struc­tions. Next, I beat to­gether 8 oz. of soft­ened cream cheese, 1⁄ cup of 2 su­gar and 1 tsp. of vanilla ex­tract. For the crumb top­ping, I mix 1⁄ cup of flour, 2 1⁄4 cup of brown su­gar and half a stick of un­salted but­ter. To as­sem­ble, I pour the cream cheese fill­ing into the crust, layer with 2 pounds of sliced fresh plums and add the top­ping. Then I pop it back into the hot oven for a few min­utes to brown the crumbs. Yum!”
