Ba­con-Kissed Three- Cheese Mac­a­roni

Our crispy ba­con-panko top­ping takes this creamy com­fort-food fa­vorite to new heights

12 oz. dried mac­a­roni

1⁄2 stick but­ter

1⁄4 cup flour

3 cups milk

2 cups shred­ded ched­dar cheese 1 cup grated Parme­san cheese

1⁄2 cup shred­ded Gruyère cheese 9 slices cooked ba­con, crum­bled 1⁄2 cup panko bread crumbs

1 Heat oven to 400°F. Cook mac­a­roni as pack­age di­rects; drain. Coat 9" x 13" casse­role dish with cook­ing spray.

2 In large pot over medium heat, melt but­ter; whisk in flour. Add milk; let sim­mer 10 min., whisk­ing of­ten. Stir in cheeses; fold in mac­a­roni. Pour into pre­pared dish; sprin­kle top with ba­con and bread crumbs. Bake 15 min.

Pre­fer to make in a slow cooker? Coat inside of slow cooker with cook­ing spray. Add dry mac­a­roni, but­ter, flour, milk, 3 cheeses and 1 (12 oz.) can evap­o­rated milk; stir. Cover; cook on low 3 hrs. Sprin­kle with bread crumbs and cooked ba­con be­fore serv­ing.
