Questions on the June 2017 Issue
On page 47 in the June 2017 issue, I noted four pilots looking at a topographic map that has been changed into an actual scale model of it. The question came to me that army commanders had
these and probably every aircraft carrier had them. Who made them and were they mass-produced in some way? There must be a story here.
The other question I have is on page 48. I see men sitting on top of the 5-inch guns. Between them is mounted a gun sight. Was this aimed from inside the gun, or was it a secondary sight in case their normal way of aiming the gun should stop working?
